    What is the course about?

    In this Grasshopper Tutorial, we will examine the basics of the program. This is a great and easy tutorial for Grasshopper beginners, and can serve as a crash course into parametric design for Grasshopper.

    We will cover an introduction to the basic Grasshopper interface, how to create components and affect them with parametric relationships from parameters like number sliders and panels.

    This lesson will teach you the basics of parametric design with Grasshopper. In this this quick lesson, you will be introduced to the Grasshopper interface & navigation tools, learn what Grasshopper components are & how to use them, use number sliders to control your geometry, and create your first parametric algorithm.

    This lesson will help you discover helpful tips to gain greater control over the Grasshopper geometry displayed in your Rhino window. You will learn ways to manage the content in your files effectively to help you optimize your algorithms.

    Voronoi patterns are the easiest and most commonly created algorithmic patterns in Grasshopper. In this lesson you will learn how to easily create simple Voronoi patterns inspired by nature in 2D and 3D forms in Grasshopper.

    A commonly used parametric algorithm is called the an attractor algorithm. In this lesson you will learn how to create simple attractor point patterns in Grasshopper by manipulating the size and scale of a geometry in relation to a nearby point in 3D space.

    Animations can be easily created natively in Grasshopper, and luckily these tools are simple enough for a beginner to use to create professional animations from your own simple algorithms.

    Data structures serve as foundation of understanding critical to scaling up your Grasshopper knowledge to solving complex problems in Grasshopper.
